Deadlines
• Early-Bird Postmark Deadline: September 1, 2009 ($20 Standard Entry Fee, $10 Student Entry Fee)
• Regular Postmark Deadline: January 1, 2009 ($30 Standard Entry Fee, $20 Student Entry Fee)
• Late Postmark Deadline: January 10, 2009 ($40 Standard Entry Fee, $30 Student Entry Fee)
Entry Forms
Use one of the following forms for submitting your movie to the Fargo Film Festival:
Rules and Guidelines
• Two copies of each entry must be submitted on DVD in the NTSC format. We do not accept PAL format. Please test your copies prior to submission.
• Moviemakers must submit a high-quality image from their movie. Hard copies and digital files will be accepted. Recommended digital image size is 300 dpi or higher.
• Moviemakers must must also submit a synopsis of their movie no longer than 50 words.
• Movies must have been completed after January 1, 2004.
• Submitted materials will not be returned.
• Moviemakers are responsible for obtaining all necessary rights and releases for public screening of their work.
Categories
Movies 45 minutes and longer will be considered features by the Fargo Film Festival.
• Animation
• Documentary Feature
• Documentary Short
• Experimental
• Music Video
• Narrative Feature
• Narrative Short
• Native American Voices
• Student
Winners are named in each of the categories listed immediately above.
Additionally, awards are made for overall achievement in Directing, Writing, Cinematography, and Acting. An audience favorite award may also be given.
